Recommended Approach for Timed Temperature Schedule

What is the recommended approach to having a timed temperature schedule for a particular room?

e.g.

7am to 9am – 20 Degrees

9am to 17:30 – 18 Degrees

17:30 to 19:30 – 21 Degrees

19:30 to 22:00 – 22 Degrees

After 22:00 – 14 Degrees

Thanks.

I believe you can achieve this by setting the mode on the IRC to manual and then using seperate schedule blocks, set the Tm value.

If you are willing to compromise a bit (‘only 3’), you can use the ‘in use’, ‘not in use’ and ‘off’ states to maintain 3 seperate temperatures from only 1 block.

I dont know the circumstances this is required in, but in my humble opinion, I would keep it simple. Not only will this be confusing to implement, the user expeience will be confusing too.

Good day. I support Philip, there is a need for this for a more comfortable setting, and other manufacturers offer by default: t1; t2; t3; Presence; Absence; Turned off

Prem’s answer is the correct one. Please be aware that the Support Community is just that, a community for Loxone users and installers to support each other, and not a forum to ask for features or requests of the manufacturer (for instance Prem is not a Loxone employee, simply an experienced and helpful Loxone installer).

If you do have feedback or questions directly for Loxone please direct them to your Partner Coach if you are a Loxone Partner, or to Loxone Support in your Country and they will be passed to the relevant individual.

Thanks @Prem,

I was afraid that that might be the answer. Hopefully someone from Loxone can suggest an alternative or say that this functionality is on the roadmap for delivery soon.

At the moment, from a user point of view it appears that heating is either ‘in use’ or not. With a manual setpoint and turn off available from the iPhone App for short term changes.

The clients Honeywell Evohome (used upstairs for the radiators) or the Heatmiser Neo (the old part of the house undefloor heating) both provide multi time, multi temperature room specific fuctionality very simply and easily – The client (not unreasonably) was expecting their ‘smart home’ system to provide the same (without cludges or work arounds) – Having just on/off/manual isn’t making them advocates for Loxone at the moment (Though they do like the lighting controls and the multifunction wall switches).

Hi Philip,

as above the community is not designed as a forum to engage with Loxone directly but an open community for Loxone integrators and enthusiasts, Loxone will only interact with the forum to mark questions correct, or provide answers if no other members have. If you want to discuss roadmaps or make feature requests please reach out to your partner coach directly, or email support.

Hi Philip,

I can see you’re trying to re-open this. Just to let you know that even though it has been marked as ‘answered’, it is still ‘open’.

I don’t think you can acheieve what you want using standard config modules. You may need to think outside the box and either do some custom logic or multiple ITC or whaever.

I think it would be more sensible to manager your users’ expectations – and learn from this experience so that in future, you understand the cutomer’s demand and are able to manage their expectation.

I am still victim to this – for example, Loxone has no visible room temperature on the walls (you need phone) and some people N-E-E-D to see this. Solved this ny putting up cheap ipad/tablet.

With regards to Evo and Neo, I can assure you they do not compre with Loxone in overall smartness or ability. Just because it’s missing this one feature ….

In fact I was looking to replace my Heatmiser (pre Neo) and looked at Neo, Evo, and others. It was Evo that made me walk away and use Loxone. None of them integrate everything else so smoothly.

No. I don’t have shares in Loxone!!
