Pool Water Quality Monitoring

Use Casesvg>

Brief: I need a solution for automatic pool water quality monitoring.

Home pools are a lot of fun however, they’re also a lot of work. Continuously monitoring and controlling the quality of the water is very important to prevent things such as salmonella or the formation of algae in the pool.

Furthermore, there are intelligent ways to heat a pool, such as using ‘free’ energy generated by solar panels, for example.

You can also easily control any water jets, lights or pool covers with a Touch Surface.

In this Use Case, we’ll show you how you can implement thing such as automatic pool water quality monitoring – to get more out of a pool.

Solution: Using Loxone for pool water quality monitoring.

With the Aquastar Air, you can implement pool water quality monitoring, control pool cleaning through the Loxone App and regulate the temperature of the water using energy generated by solar panels.

In this example, the Touch Surface is used to control the lighting and the pool cover. In addition, the cover can also be automatically closed in the evening using an Automatic Blinds Function Block, so that the temperature in the pool does not drop at night.

Via 2 temperature sensors (1x in the pool and 1x in the filter pump) the temperature in the pool can be monitored and controlled.
