Miniserver’s Time changes

In order for the Miniserver to correctly perform its tasks, its time must be as accurate as possible. The time is regularly checked automatically via NTP (Network Time Protocol) and adjusted if necessary.

If the Miniserver detects a time deviation, you will be informed via a system status message.

Possible effects of incorrect time

  • Automatic shading does not work correctly (shading happens too early or too late)
  • Time-based functions (alarm clock, timer switch, …) do not work reliably
  • Logics with time functions (sunset, daylight, …) do not behave as expected

Possible solutions

  • To verify the time via NTP, the Miniserver requires an active internet connection. Therefore, first check the network connection and network configuration of the Miniserver. Further information can be found here.
  • If the Miniserver is not connected to the internet, the time can be set manually via the configuration dialog of the Loxone Config software (“Configure Miniserver”).
  • If you are connected to the Miniserver via the visualization (Loxone App, web interface), the time is synchronized between the Miniserver and your device. If the deviation is too large, you will be offered the option to sync the Miniserver time with your device time.
  • Alternatively, another time server can be configured on the Miniserver. Use the configuration dialog in Loxone Config (“Configure Miniserver”) or the admin interface for this.
