Room Ventilation Controller

Controls a single fan based on Humidity, Temperature and CO2. For Temperature functionality, the fan must be assigned to a Room Controller as a source. In addition, the System Variable "Outdoor Temperature" is also required.

Inputs

AbbreviationDescriptionUnitValue Range
HiInternal Humidity. If humidity exceeds parameter Hmax, the ventilation will increase. If this input is not connected, humidity is not taken into account.%0...100
CO2Internal Air Pollution. If CO2 levels exceed the parameter CO2max, ventilation is increased. If this input not connected, air pollution is not taken into account.ppm0...∞
TsExternal Temperature. Indicates the temperature of incoming air. Used for Temperature and Frost Protection functionalities. If this input is not connected, the value of the System Variable "Outside Temperature" is used. If this is also not available, all Temperature Functionality is disabled.º
IwWindow Contact (ON = Window Open, OFF = Window Closed). If a window is open, Ventilation is disabled.Digital0/1
MvMotion Sensor Input. The overrun duration must be configured using parameter TH.Digital0/1
StDigital Input - When ON stops any automatic control and sets all outputs to OFFDigital0/1
SIDigital Input - Sleep Mode: Turns off ventilation for the time set in parameter TSl. Afterwards, the block will start again with ventilation.Digital0/1
TbDigital Input - BOOST: Stops all current control and sets the output to 100 percentDigital0/1
ExDigital Input - Exhaust Air: terminates all controls and vents with 100 percent ventilationDigital0/1

Outputs

AbbreviationDescriptionUnitValue Range
AQFan Speed. This output is used if you are not using a dedicated supply or exhaust fan.%0...100
AQeExhaust Air - For controlling a dedicated air exhaust fan. When the fan is operating in supply air mode, this output is 0.%0...100
AQiSupply Air - For controlling a dedicated air supply fan. When the fan is in exhaust air mode, this output is set to 0.%0...100
QHeat Exchanger. Connect this output to a Heat Exchanger actuator. If there is no heat exchanger, do not connect the output.Digital0/1
AQsAnalogue Output - Value indicates which parameter is driving the ventilation. This output is for informational reasons only. 0: Basic Ventilation, 1: Increased Humidity, 2: Temperature Control, 3: Poor Air Quality (CO2), 4: Manually Stopped, 5: Window Open, 6: Manual Boost, 7: Manual Control User Interface, 8: Manual Exhaust Air, 9: Sleep Mode.-0...9

TFFrost Protection TemperatureFrost Protection Temperature: If the outside temperature is below this value ventilation will be stopped to prevent any damage. WARNING: If the System Variable "Outdoor Temperature" is not used, this safety setting is disabled!-

Preferences

SummaryDescriptionUnitValue Range
Energy CostsCosts for running this source. Sources that have been configured to be 'expensive' will only be requested by room controllers if no sources with higher priorities are available.--
Exhaust Air / Supply Air Operation PermittedSets whether a fan is permitted to operate as extract only. When active, an extra input is available on the Leaf function block which can be used to start the extract mode. WARNING: If a room has an open fireplace an extract fan in close proximity may result in smoke being pulled into the room!--
Maximum Air ExchangeSpecify the maximum air exchange that the ventilation unit can provide for the current room. You will find this information on the data sheet for the device. This information is used for optimum adjustment of the controller.m³/h
