Lighting Control
One of the key features of the hotel’s Loxone retrofit was smart lighting control. The Loxone system enables automated management of lights based on various scenarios and guest needs. Lights can adjust according to the time of day, the presence of people, or specific requirements, ensuring optimal lighting levels and energy efficiency. The lighting system is also integrated with the Loxone Touch Standard and App, making it easy to operate without requiring extensive staff training.
During site meetings, we decided to upgrade the old lighting system with a Loxone solution, which simplified integration without needing new wiring. We provided the client with wireless thermostatic controls for room heating and installed three intercoms with NFC access to manage staff arrivals and departures. Now, everything, including lighting and temperature, is now controlled via the Loxone App, making it easier for staff to operate without requiring special training.
Intelligent Heating Control
Another key feature added to the hotel was individual room heating control. The old radiator heads were replaced with Valve Actuator Airs that allow the temperature in each room to be measured and controlled individually. The reception can now adjust the temperature according to guests’ preferences through the App, making operations easier and boosting energy efficiency.
Access System
Guest safety and comfort are top priorities, so the hotel has implemented an access system using the Loxone Intercom and NFC Code Touch. This system allows guests to open the door simply by tapping an NFC card or entering a code. It provides each guest with individual access, enhancing security and simplifying the check-in and check-out process.
The implementation of Loxone’s solutions has brought numerous benefits to Hotel Albrecht. Loxone has ensured guest comfort, optimized the hotel’s operations, and supported its sustainability efforts. Additionally, energy efficiency and building security have been significantly improved thanks to the Loxone automation retrofit.
