Buildings That Are Already Thinking About Tomorrow.

Our planet doesn’t need promises. It needs solutions.

44% of Global Energy Consumption

…is caused by buildings. Automation can cut this figure in half.

At LOXONE, sustainability is in our DNA: Since 2008, we have been committed to smart automation, durable products and solutions that save resources day after day. For us, sustainability is not an afterthought or a marketing campaign. It is an integral part of how we think, develop and build partnerships.

A Holistic Approach

Energy Only Where It’s Needed.

Whether it’s an apartment, a single-family home, a hotel, or a logistics center: LOXONE knows what a space needs – and what it doesn’t.

Less Material,
Shorter Distances.

Our packaging is as simple as possible. It’s made from natural cardboard, designed to be plastic-free and optimized for efficient shipping.

Designed in Austria.
Made in Europe.

With our central logistics hub in Kollerschlag and warehouses in the US, the UK and Switzerland, we minimize transportation distances.

We focus on long-term solutions.

To Last a Building’s Lifetime.

Our products don’t just save resources in day-to-day use. Our hardware and software continue to evolve together.

Regular updates ensure that existing installations remain future-proof. The first Miniserver went live on December 23, 2009. It’s still running today – and continues to receive free updates.

We Build the Way We Think.

At LOXONE Campus, sustainability is on full display: green roofs, on-site solar power generation, smart energy flows and 50 electric vehicle charging stations.

“To give nature as much space as possible, we’ve turned 78% of the roof areas at the LOXONE Campus into green spaces. On the remaining roof areas, our large solar array generates 600 kWp, powering the Campus and its 50 electric vehicle charging stations.”

How does LOXONE make buildings more sustainable?

LOXONE helps ensure that energy is used only when it is truly needed – for example, through the automatic control of heating, lighting, shading, ventilation, solar panels, storage systems and electric vehicle charging stations. This way, comfort is not pitted against sustainability, but is intelligently combined with energy efficiency.

What does LOXONE mean by sustainable product development?

For LOXONE, sustainability begins with the design of both hardware and software. The products are engineered for long-term, 24/7 operation and are designed to work reliably for the entire lifespan of a building – rather than needing to be replaced after just a few years. Regular software updates help to further develop existing systems and ensure they remain usable over the long term.

Does LOXONE produce sustainably?

LOXONE adheres to the principle “Designed in Austria. Made in Europe.” This means: development in Austria, manufacturing with a focus on quality, durability and short supply chains. In addition, LOXONE is working on more sustainable materials to further reduce its environmental impact throughout the entire product lifecycle.

What role do packaging, logistics and company-owned facilities play in sustainability?

LOXONE reduces packaging materials, uses eco-friendly printed natural cardboard and is working to consistently eliminate plastic from its packaging and warehousing processes. Centralized logistics in Austria and regional warehouse locations help shorten transport routes. Energy consumption at the company’s own locations is also continuously monitored, optimized and coordinated.
