Do I need a smart air-conditioning system, or can I integrate my existing air-conditioner?

With AC Control, air conditioning units from eight leading manufacturers can be made smart in record time. Whether you’re installing a new air conditioning unit or want to use an existing one, installation takes just a few minutes, after which you can integrate your air conditioning unit into your building automation system or control it via an app.

Which air-conditioning systems are compatible?

AC Control supports many popular air conditioning systems – including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Gree, Sinclair and Panasonic. You can find the full list of compatible models in the LOXONE Shop.

How much of a difference does automatic shading really make?

Up to 9°C cooler – this is what measurements in buildings with automatic shading control show. Blinds and external blinds are adjusted depending on the position of the sun, the outside temperature and the weather forecast. Daylight is retained as much as possible, whilst direct sunlight is specifically blocked.

Can I use my solar power system for cooling?

Yes. The LOXONE Energy Manager detects surplus PV power and automatically prioritises cooling – before any electricity is fed into the grid. This means cooling takes place when the electricity is available anyway. This significantly reduces the air-conditioning system’s running costs.

Does LOXONE still cool the house when I’m not at home?

In Eco mode, LOXONE protects the building from overheating – even when you’re away – whilst using minimal energy. Using the LOXONE app, you can intervene remotely at any time or switch the system to Comfort mode before you get home.

I’m an electrician – can I install LOXONE cooling myself?

Yes, even as an electrician, you can easily retrofit air-conditioning systems for your customers – whether wireless or wired. You can also offer decentralised ventilation solutions using Leaf straight away; no additional specialists are required. This opens up a new area of business for you and provides your customers with perfect cooling from a single source.
