Areas of Application for Current Transformer Meters

Current transformer meters are always used when traditional energy meters reach their limits. Loxone Tree energy meters are designed for direct measurements up to 100 A per phase, making them ideal for single-family homes or small commercial units.

However, significantly higher currents occur in larger projects, such as industrial halls, hotels, charging parks, or commercial kitchens. In these cases, current transformers are the right choice: Loxone current transformers can accurately measure currents up to 400 A. Installation is quick and safe, as main cables do not need to be disconnected. This means that even large consumers such as heat pumps, cooling systems, or machine parks can be monitored retrospectively.

Important: The use of current transformers is not only useful for very high currents. Loxone offers models in various sizes, including for 25 A. They are ideal for applications where flexible retrofitting is desired. This means that smaller consumer groups or individual system components can also be specifically monitored independently of the main measurement.
