A particular challenge in implementing the access control system for the Großhöflein fire department was integrating it with the existing siren control system. It was essential to ensure that, in the event of an alarm, all doors would unlock automatically and be immediately accessible to emergency personnel.
Additionally, the new access control solution had to be integrated with the existing door systems in such a way that smooth and secure access would be guaranteed even during a power outage. Through the careful coordination of all components, a reliable solution was implemented that meets both the requirements of daily operations and the specific demands of a fire department emergency.

Solution
The solution involved a special circuit with potential-free relays and targeted programming in LOXONE Config. This automatically unlocks all relevant doors in the event of an alarm, while maintaining the functionality of the existing door system. This enabled the implementation of a reliable and operationally safe solution for both routine and emergency situations.
LOXONE was deliberately chosen for the access control system at the Großhöflein fire station. The decisive factor was the simple and flexible integration of the various systems, such as access control, siren control, and door and gate technology.
