The most important goal of the project was to automate the operation of the ventilation system based on Komfovent units and to automate heating and cooling in the premises.

Full climate control in the building was achieved by using wireless Air actuators on all radiators. They have become the primary source of heat. Additionally, a Modbus bus was installed in the building connecting UTY-VMSX Modbus gateways assigned to 7 Fujitsu splits and 2 Komfovent air handling units with Modbus Extension of the Loxone system. In addition to cooling in winter, Fujitsu air conditioners also function as an additional heating source if standard radiators are unable to heat the rooms in a given time.

The most important function of the system is to adapt the ventilation system to the current conditions in the clinic. During surgical procedures, there are many people present in operating rooms, and devices such as a laser are used to cut tissue. This causes sudden, large increases in CO2 levels in rooms. The ventilation system responds to such changes immediately. Climate sensors were placed near operating tables, in cages constituting a post-operative hospital for animals, and in the social and reception rooms. All this to provide the best conditions for the clinic staff, clients and patients whose well-being is equally important.

The Loxone system installed at Koniczyna Vet is ready for further expansion with additional functionalities that improve the working conditions of staff and the recovery of patients.
