Dental clinic Somadent

Time has evidently proven that the Loxone Miniserver can be a powerful central hub for intelligent automation, not just of homes but also of commercial buildings and special applications. A prime example of this is Somadent dental clinic in Stara Tura, where the investor was interested in looking at the possibility of simplifying control over the whole building. So they turned to implementing a Loxone system, this system includes controlling lighting, shading, heating and other useful functions that help create the best conditions for patients and employees.

The brain behind the entire installation, is the Miniserver. Which controls all the functions - from lighting, shading, heating, ventilation, alarm, access system, and even through to irrigation of green areas. The dental clinic is made up of 8 dentistry rooms, a reception, a X-ray machine and accessories. There are also 2 seperate apartments attached to the clinic and a detatched garage included in the facility.



The Loxone implementation for this project manages the entire building. For example the access system is via the NFC Code Touch keyboard - which controls not only access to the clinic premises, but also to the garage. The majority of lighting used was LED strips installed into the plasterboard ceilings and is exclusively 24V power supply, which is completely backed up by accumulators. The backup is key, as in medical facilities here, there is regulations meaning that there has to be a backup power supply for at least 30 minutes.
