Cliffside Residence

The Cliffside project required a flexible and reliable HVAC control system that could provide precise comfort throughout the home while simplifying the integration of multiple heating and cooling components. The goal was to create a centralized control strategy that would respond automatically to changing conditions, maintain consistent temperatures, and remain easy for both the homeowner and service team to manage.

LOXONE was implemented as the central HVAC control platform, bringing the home’s heating and cooling systems together into one intelligent and easy-to-use environment. A combination of LOXONE Touch Pure Flex controls were configured to provide intuitive access to heating and cooling functions, including an Auto mode that allows the system to automatically manage comfort based on current conditions and room requirements.
For areas with hydronic in-floor heating, 1-Wire slab temperature sensors were integrated to provide independent floor-warming control. This allows the system to maintain comfortable floor temperatures independently from the primary room heating demand, providing the homeowner with enhanced comfort while preventing unnecessary overheating of the space.
By combining room temperature control, slab sensing, heating, and cooling within LOXONE, the project eliminates the need for multiple standalone thermostats and controls. The result is a clean, centralized HVAC solution that provides individualized comfort, intelligent automation, and greater flexibility, while keeping everyday operation simple for the homeowner.
