Alarm armed via NFC

We found an alarm system that hadn't worked for months, and absolutely no documentation for it: no diagram, no terminal assignments, no codes, no contact person. It was impossible to determine which detectors were even still connected, or who had access to the premises. On top of that, there was the typical daily grind of a restaurant – frequent staff turnover, keys being issued and never returned.

A LOXONE Miniserver handles access control and alarm system management in a single system. Each staff and secondary entrance is equipped with an NFC Code Touch: Every employee has their own NFC tag or code. If someone loses their tag, they are locked out within seconds, without needing to replace the cylinder.

The same controls are used to arm and disarm the alarm system: The last person to leave at night activates the door and window contacts via their NFC tag. In case of an alarm, the siren sounds and an immediate push notification is sent to the operator's smartphone.
