What is a smart video doorbell?
A smart video doorbell connects an HD camera, microphone and speaker to an app, enabling real-time communication from anywhere.
The LOXONE Intercom goes a step further: fully integrated into the building automation system, it triggers additional actions as needed — ranging from opening the door to controlling the lighting.
What is the difference between the LOXONE Intercom and a standard intercom system?
A standard intercom system only works at home. The LOXONE Intercom connects to your smartphone via an app – wherever you are.
Plus: local visitor logging, no cloud, and full LOXONE integration.
Can the LOXONE Intercom be retrofitted?
Yes – thanks to surface mounting, it can also be installed in existing buildings without major renovation. All that is required is an Ethernet (LAN) connection. Power is supplied via the LAN cable.
Does the Intercom work without a Internet connection?
Ringing and opening the door on-site works even without an internet connection. A connection is required for remote access via the app.
Which devices can be combined with the LOXONE Intercom?
The Intercom can be used individually or in combination with the NFC Code Touch or the Touch Pure Flex.
