This emblematic urban symbol, installed on 23 February 1956, has witnessed the passage of time in the heart of the city.
After several restorations over the years, this latest one was carried out simultaneously with the refurbishment of the building, ensuring that this historic treasure continues to shine in all its splendour in the centre of Barcelona.

For this project, a Miniserver was implemented together with a DALI Extension to control the 54 addresses that make up the impressive Thermometer.
The choice of dimmable luminaires adds a fascinating touch as it offers remarkable advantages. On the one hand, the gradual on/off transition eliminates any peak consumption, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
On the other hand, at dusk, the intensity is automatically adjusted to prevent light pollution, thanks to the integrated luxmeter and temperature probe.
