Wedding shed in Kashubia

Challenge

The project's goal was to create a coherent and intuitive infrastructure management system for the wedding shelter, enabling convenient operation of the facility during events and optimizing the operation of technical installations.

The facility required the integration of multiple independent technical systems—lighting, air conditioning, ventilation, sound, access control, and network infrastructure—into a single central control system. Ease of use for staff, automation of selected functions, and the possibility of future expansion were key.

An additional objective was to monitor comfort parameters such as temperature, humidity, and CO₂ levels, ensuring optimal conditions during events with large numbers of guests.

Solution

The facility features the Loxone building automation system, which serves as a central platform integrating all technical installations. The scope of the project included:

Lighting Control:

ON/OFF lighting in technical and auxiliary areas

DALI lighting in the main hall, enabling the creation of lighting scenes tailored to the nature of the event

HVAC System and Climate Management

Integration of a Haier VRF air conditioning system via Modbus RTU

Integration of a Klimor ventilation unit via Modbus TCP/IP

Monitoring of air parameters (CO₂, temperature, humidity) using Loxone Touch Pure panels

Management of domestic hot water (DHW) preparation, enabling optimization of the system's operation depending on the facility's demand

Sound System

Audio distribution in a Master/Client architecture

Sound system in the main hall

Additional audio zones in the restrooms and staff kitchen

External sound system, creating background music and ambiance around the shelter during events

Access Control

NFC card-based access system, enabling convenient management of staff access

Energy and Conditions External

Integration of the photovoltaic system

Integration of the weather station, enabling the system to respond to changing weather conditions

Network infrastructure

Construction of a structured network for automation and multimedia systems

Installation of active devices (switches) and passive infrastructure

Installation of a rack cabinet

Establishment of a fiber optic connection to the main building

The entire system was designed to enable the facility to be operated from a single system, without the need to manage multiple separate applications and controllers.

The Loxone system was chosen for its stability, ability to integrate various technical systems, and excellent scalability.

We had previous experience with this solution, which confirmed its reliability in everyday use. The possibility of further expansion of the system in the future, as the facility grows and new needs arise, was also a key consideration.

This allows all building systems to be managed from a single platform, significantly simplifying facility management.
