Wellness Automation

The wellness facility had to be completely renovated after water damage. The entire facility was dismantled down to the shell and rebuilt. The biggest challenge was to integrate all trades seamlessly into the Loxone smart home system - a key request of the customer. This required quick and precise coordination with the various trades in order to define the appropriate interfaces and integrations within the shortest possible time. At the same time, it was important to stick to the tight budget and manage the implementation efficiently.

A Loxone all-round carefree package was implemented for the wellness facility, which intelligently automates and optimizes all processes.

Early in the morning, the cleaning staff enters the facility, holds their RFID card to the Code Touch reader, enters the PIN code - and the Loxone Miniserver takes care of the rest:

• The alarm system is deactivated.

• The lighting switches to cleaning mode.

• The ventilation starts up.

• A suitable morning radio station is switched on throughout the facility.

• The emergency exit monitoring is temporarily deactivated.

This allows the cleaning staff to work undisturbed. Once cleaning is complete, the staff logs off via the Code Touch.

In the meantime, preparations for regular operation begin:

• Towels and drinks are provided.

• In the background, the Loxone Miniserver gradually increases all energy-intensive consumers to minimize peak loads.

• The heating phases of the sauna and other facilities are monitored. Deviations are reported immediately - an important indication of possible irregularities.

Five minutes before the start of operation, the Loxone Miniserver automatically switches the system to active operating mode:

• The lights are set to the predefined lighting moods in all areas.

• The music is controlled zone-specifically.

• The emergency exits go into monitoring mode.

During operation, the Miniserver monitors all important systems:

• Temperature and humidity of the sauna

• pH and chlorine values of the pool

• Energy consumption with a focus on a minimum peak load

As soon as a deviation is detected, the staff is informed immediately. In the event of faults or personal alarms, a direct notification or alarm is sent.

After the end of operation, the Miniserver ensures that all unnecessary consumers are switched off. Overnight, the ventilation system is controlled so that the wellness area can dry completely.

The operations manager has a complete overview of operating conditions and energy consumption at all times. Thanks to the intelligent control provided by Loxone, employees do not have to operate complex technical systems - everything runs automatically according to predefined processes.

This smart automation saves energy and costs, operations become more efficient and comfort for staff and guests increases significantly.
