Challenge
More than 600 communities in rural areas are without local suppliers. Due to the general economic conditions, a strong exodus of small-structured grocery stores is discernible. People are now used to being able to shop around the clock every day. This is leading to problems, especially in the stationary retail sector.
Solution
The UNIBox of the Unimarkt Group is a unique automated mini-branch that is available to its customers 24/7/365 as a local supplier. The miniserver controls the lighting, the presence detector, the fire and water alarm control panel and the smoke detector. In addition, a Modbus meter records the energy data for statistics.
Digitization is becoming increasingly important, which is why we at Unimarkt rely on the smart UNIBoxes. For our franchisees, this is probably the most comprehensive and innovative retail solution on the market. The system is secure and manless autonomous, not least thanks to the integration of Loxone.
