Challenge
The Benedictine monastery Admont was founded in 1074 and is the oldest still existing monastery in Styria. With over 70,000 volumes, Admont Abbey is known as the world's largest abbey library. Loxone technology now controls the lighting in the huge museum and precisely measures the indoor climate to protect the priceless books. Some cabling was not possible, so Loxone Air technology was used.
Solution
The large museum in Admont Abbey extends over three floors and two wings. In the first phase of the project, the lighting structure for the entire museum was integrated into the Loxone system via Dali. Thanks to Loxone's open interfaces, this was not a problem.
The second part of the implementation dealt with implementing the humidity and temperature monitoring in the largest monastery library in the world using Loxone. The room climate sensor takes over the exact determination of temperature and humidity and thus helps to protect the 70,000 volumes. The measurement data is also used for scientific purposes and should therefore be forwarded to another location.

Above all, it was important that the precious volumes of the world's largest abbey library were protected. The Loxone system records the temperature and humidity monitoring data. Wiring was not possible. Loxone provided the best solution here with Loxone Air technology.
