Challenge
System integrator and owner of a caravan, Jochen Goth, is familiar with various controls from building automation. The desire was to equip his caravan with building automation. The favorite for this project was the Loxone Miniserver.
In addition to the entire lighting, other components, such as the charging state of the vehicle battery, the existing level in the water tank, air conditioning, power and electricity consumption, as well as smoke alarms should be realized with Loxone.

Solution
The wiring paths in the camping vehicle were no longer accessible due to the installed furniture - however, thanks to the combination of Loxone Air and Tree technology, all requirements could be implemented without any problems. Due to the numerous cutting speeds of the Loxone Miniserver, only a few additional modules were necessary until the hardware was complete.
The complete lighting in the caravan was automated with Loxone and now always provides the right lighting thanks to the different (dimmable) light scenes. With sensors, the level in the water tank is monitored, if it is empty, it is alerted with a push notification. The vehicle battery is also constantly monitored, and a warning is issued in the event of undervoltage. Thanks to the records in the Loxone app, the power and electricity consumption can also be viewed at any time.
A special highlight in the caravan are the two Touch Pure Flex, which were only released in June 2022. With one of the two Touch Pure Flex, a strong focus was placed on the lighting. With just one click, the lighting can thus be controlled per area. The second Touch Pure Flex shows status for power, water and battery.

The desire to equip a caravan with a building automation system has existed for some time. However, a central control and display element was still missing. When I learned about the new Touch Pure Flex, I was able to implement all my ideas.
