Challenge

For the new office space, achieving an optimal indoor climate was a top priority for the technically savvy Managing Director. Many technical components were already specified; the goal was to find a system capable of centrally controlling and integrating the various building systems. This presented the first challenge for Singenia and LOXONE.

In a second phase, the existing alarm system was replaced by LOXONE. The project required retaining all existing sensors and wiring, as well as maintaining the connection to the Certas monitoring service.

A third phase saw the addition of access control and time tracking. In this way, LOXONE gradually evolved into the company's central automation platform.

Solution

LOXONE was used to integrate the various areas into a unified building automation system. Two networked Miniservers control and monitor the office and building systems as well as the security system.

The project’s unique feature lies in its climate control system: the technically savvy managing director brought a clear vision and the necessary building technology to the table, with LOXONE serving as the platform to intelligently integrate climate control, ventilation, dehumidification, and various energy sources into a unified system. Subsequent expansions to include security, access control, and time tracking further demonstrate the solution's flexibility in growing alongside the company's evolving needs.
