Smart Home Showroom
- Country US, Cherry Hill, NJ
- Build year 2026
- Area 90 sq ft m²
- LOXONE partner Serenity Smart Homes

Challenge
We needed to build a credible, client-facing smart home showroom in a 90 square foot rented office space - with no permanent wiring, a solo installer, and the requirement to demonstrate multiple protocols, manufacturers, and use cases simultaneously in a way that felt cohesive rather than cobbled together.
Solution
A fully functional showroom built around the LOXONE Miniserver Compact, demonstrating presence-based lighting automation, NFC-triggered access control, multi-zone RGBW lighting scenes, and a passive speaker system managed via the Stereo Extension - all controllable via the LOXONE Touch Surface, Remote Air, an Apple HomeKit frontend, or an external unattended kiosk. LOXONE's open API architecture bridges seamlessly into Home Assistant, allowing the showroom to demonstrate Z-Wave, Zigbee, and LOXONE Air devices within a single unified experience. From outside the showroom, visitors can trigger a live curtain reveal, lighting scene changes, and cabinet lock sequences - experiencing firsthand how LOXONE and Home Assistant work together as complementary platforms rather than competing ones.
The Touch Surface and Remote Air change the client conversation the moment they reach for them, nothing else feels that considered, that finished, that intentionally designed for easy touch control. And LOXONE's open API means I can bridge directly into Home Assistant without compromise, giving clients the polish of LOXONE with the flexibility to integrate other protocols. That capacity doesn't exist anywhere else.
