Seaview Rental Apartment

The challenge was to provide an automation system for a newly renovated apartment with the intention for it to be used as a rental property. The main goal was to provide keyless entry for guests and to reduce excessive electrical energy usage.

Keyless access was provided using a keypad and a smart lock system which is fully integrated into the Loxone Miniserver using API. The owner is able to create an entrance password through the Loxone App which is valid for the vacation period. Using this keycode the guest can lock and unlock the apartment providing keyless entry and a hassle-free check-in/check-out procedure.

Cleaners and maintenance access was also programmed into the system to ease operations.

Electrical energy saving was achieved with the installation of Presence Sensors, IR controllers and electrical conductors to observe room presence and accordingly adjust heating units, hot water heater and cooling split units.

Now the owner can control and operate his rental property business from anywhere in the world while saving money on energy bills.
