The owners of the new building previously lived in a rented apartment where they had to manually control all the blinds on a daily basis. Already during the planning phase of the new building it was clear that an advanced house and building automation should be implemented.

The new building was equipped with Loxone, which now enables intelligent control of lighting, shading, energy, heating, multi-room audio and the access system.



RGBW LED spotlights were installed throughout the building. With the help of presence detectors, the lighting is only activated where there are people. Residents can use the Loxone app to create individual lighting moods in order to create the right atmosphere for every occasion.



Automatic shading ensures sun protection, privacy and maximum energy efficiency. The building reacts to the current position of the sun to prevent overheating in summer and to use natural heat for heating in winter.



The Touch Pure has been integrated into the rooms, a compact and elegant control element that allows manual control of the main functions. A single button press can change the lighting mood of all the lights in the room. The Touch Pure also enables the control of the multi-room audio system and the room shading using built-in temperature and humidity sensors. The collected data is transmitted to the Miniserver, which regulates the heating accordingly and ensures a comfortable room temperature.



The multi-room audio system in this smart home offers a premium way to enjoy quality music in different rooms, while controlling and personalizing the audio output is seamless and convenient.



The access system was implemented by combining Intercom and NFC Code Touch. With the Loxone app, residents can see on their smartphone or tablet installed in the entrance area immediately who is at the door when the doorbell rings. Access is either via the NFC Code Touch by entering a code or by using NFC Key Fobs. The necessary access rights can be easily managed via the Loxone app.



In addition, a PV system with battery storage was installed and seamlessly integrated into Loxone. The Loxone app visualizes all energy flows clearly and controls the Vaillant heat pump via EEBus in case of excess or the household appliances via Miele@Home.



Smart garden watering offers a practical way to water the garden efficiently and on demand, saving water while promoting plant health. By integrating sensors and weather data, the system can optimize irrigation and prevent the garden from being over-watered or watered in unfavorable conditions.
