Challenge
The building, originally built in 1935, was previously heated with a supply temperature of well over 60°C. This led to problems in adjusting the heating and matching it to the needs of the various tenants. In 2023, the heating system was renewed, and at the same time, Loxone smart home and building automation was implemented. This made an efficient and demand-oriented heating solution possible.
Solution
The Loxone Room Comfort Sensor takes precise measurements of temperature and humidity and this information is transmitted to the Miniserver. Based on this, the Miniserver can continuously calculate the optimal flow temperature. The new heat pump is controlled via the Climate Controller Function Block and Modbus Extension.
This Loxone intelligent automation system has not only significantly improved the comfort of the residents, but also reduced heating costs by an impressive 40%.
