Transforming an aging KNX installation into a modern Loxone system in a short-term rental property. The main challenge was to reuse all existing wiring to minimize disruptive work while replacing all equipment with Loxone solutions. The client's primary objective was to drastically reduce energy consumption, essential for the profitability of a rental property, while also providing a simple and intuitive user experience for short-term guests.

We carried out a complete system migration while retaining the existing KNX cabling infrastructure, which significantly reduced costs and intervention time. The Loxone installation incorporates intelligent lighting management with automatic occupancy detection in all rooms, thus preventing energy waste. The energy management system analyzes and optimizes electricity consumption in real time, with absence scenarios that automatically switch off non-essential equipment. Occupancy detection controls not only the lighting but also the heating and air conditioning, ensuring optimal comfort only when spaces are occupied.
