Challenge
We have installed Loxone to automate biomass boiler rooms and substations in more than 30 municipalities throughout Catalonia.
The objective is to efficiently control the heating in different municipal buildings (schools, kindergartens, town halls, libraries, pavilions, football fields, etc.) their heating and/or domestic hot water with thermal energy produced by a central biomass boiler and a backup boiler in case of emergency if the main boiler is not working for whatever reason.

Solution
We have automated the heating demands of the buildings with the operation of the main boiler and, through valves and pumps, we pump the water to the circuits of each municipal facility.
The people who use it have more control over the installation, and the municipality obtains savings in consumption and uses cleaner, zero-kilometre energy.
