PV power plant management in the market hall

Challenge

The owner of the market hall had an existing PV power plant implementation consisting of 6 GoodWe inverters (ET10, ET15, MT50). And he pointed out that the PV implementer did not have any functional system that could measure consumption and production for him, but also regulate the inverters so that there were no unauthorized overflows into the distribution network.

Solution

We supplemented the existing, unattractive distribution board with Loxone Compact and Modbus extension.

We connected the Modbus extension to the existing Modbus signal line to the inverters.

We connected Loxone via Modbus TCP to an existing RTU unit with which we exchange energy information at the point of delivery level.

The entire implementation was ultimately very simple. Loxone aggregates everything via Modbus. It uses the Energy Flow Monitor for visualization. It regulates the connected inverters via Modbus and at the same time monitors their proper functionality.

The client is extremely satisfied. For the price of a relatively low additional investment.
