Loxone takes control

The goal of the project was to incorporate the existing home automation system into the Loxone system, creating a much more consistent, flexible, and intuitive building management system.

The house is located in a quiet, rural part of the Wieliczka County. Previously, it had a different automation system, whose capabilities and user interface had ceased to meet the owners' needs over time.

Instead of replacing the entire existing installation, we utilized a significant portion of the existing devices and infrastructure, with the Loxone Miniserver taking over as the central management system. This gave the house completely new automation and integration capabilities, without having to build everything from scratch.

Loxone as the New Home Management Center
The Loxone Miniserver took control of key building functions. Existing solutions were integrated with the new system, allowing Loxone to act as the master automation platform.

Lighting and Blind Control
Lighting and window coverings were integrated into the building's shared logic. This allows them to operate not only on user commands, but also according to schedules, scenes, and automations.

Heating Integration with the De Dietrich Boiler
The Loxone system was integrated with the heating system and the De Dietrich boiler. This allows heating to be managed as an integral part of the overall home automation system, rather than as a separate system.

Sonos Multiroom Audio
The existing Sonos sound system was integrated with Loxone, allowing music control to be integrated into scenes and home automation and managed from a single system. Loxone Wireless Speakers and a Loxone Soundbar were installed.

Sony TV Control
We also integrated Sony TVs into the automation system. This allows them to be used in scenarios related to multimedia, leaving the house, and evening building operation.

Summer Pool Control
Loxone is also responsible for monitoring and controlling functions related to the seasonal pool, thus integrating another independent element of the installation into a single management system.

Gate Control and Access Control
The system controls the gates and entrance to the building. We used the Loxone Intercom and the NFC Code Touch keypad, enabling convenient and modern access management to the property and home.

Presence Sensors
Loxone ceiling-mounted presence sensors allow the building to respond to occupants' presence without the need to constantly press buttons. Presence information can be used by lighting, automation, heating, and the security system.

Touch & Grill Air and Remote Air
We also supplemented the system with wireless Loxone components, such as the Touch & Grill Air and Remote Air, which expand the possibilities for convenient control of home and outdoor functions.

One app instead of multiple independent components.
The biggest change for users is the cohesiveness of the entire solution. Gates, shutters, lighting, heating, audio, multimedia, pool, and access control are now managed from a single Loxone system.
