Challenge

The company Kaplan, a furniture manufacturer from the Eagle Mountains, needed to create an autonomous Showroom with furniture in Prague, so that the client could visit it literally 24 hours a day.

Solution

From the visitor's registration on the KAPLAN 1934 website, LOXONE takes care of everything. Through the SMS gateway, the client receives his unique access code. After entering the code on the NFC keyboard, the system welcomes it and unlocks the wood. After entering the unique Showroom, a scene is automatically activated in which dining tables suspended on ropes are lowered from the ceiling. In no time, the tables are properly lit and the presentation video starts. Although it may be around zero outside, LOXONE will ensure that the entire space is heated to the required temperature. The client is then served via tablet directly from the company's headquarters in Orlické hory. LOXONE takes care not only of the scenes, but also of the safety of the visitors. AIR magnetic contacts are integrated into the exposed folding tables, thanks to which, for example, the tables do not start to rise when they are unfolded.



After the customer is served, they leave. With the instruction of the integrated exit button, the system receives information that the customer is leaving, the lighting switches to another scene, the heating switches to energy-saving mode, the system locks the door and says goodbye to the visitor via Intercom. At that moment, the Showroom is guarded and waiting for the next client.

At KAPLAN 1934, we produce the best tables and chairs from solid wood. We set ourselves a clear task, to create the first self-service Showroom with furniture. We invited the designer Václav Mlynář to the design. Subsequently, we had to solve the security, access system, control of table lifting motors, heating and lighting. We didn't want to go the route of a series of separate apps and devices. After researching the possibilities, the company INLIVING.CZ and the system supplied by them came to us as a solution supplier. LOXONE provides us with unique scenes from the moment the client registers on our website, the automatic generation of the access code for NFC to the scene where the videos are switched on for the presentation TV.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> Even if the only place where a visitor sees LOXONE in the Showroom is the NFC keyboard and the intercom, it is its heart, without which this project could not have been created and functioned flawlessly.
