Challenge
The Halles Claude Nougaro, a historic building located in Bram, was built in 1909 and served as a market for a long time before being transformed into a cultural space. This emblematic building, with its octagonal architecture and Art Nouveau style, is today the centre of events and associative activities. The Bram town hall wanted to modernise the energy management of the building while preserving its heritage, to guarantee the comfort of users while reducing energy consumption.
Solution
To meet this need, we installed a Miniserver in Les Halles, capable of controlling different technical and energy systems. Among the main features implemented:
- Control of 4 Daikin VRF systems: We optimised the operation of the splits to ensure cascade management, like that of boilers, improving both user comfort and the energy efficiency of the building.
- Hot water management: The system controls hot water centrally to ensure optimised use.
- Solar optimisation: In addition, we integrated a solar solution to provide thermal support to produce heat or cold, depending on needs.
- Integration into the municipal Trust: The system is also connected to the Trust, allowing municipal employee access to be managed and different roles to be defined (technical, event-related, etc.).
- Energy supervision of municipal buildings: Finally, this system allows centralised management of the most energy-intensive buildings in the municipality, with prioritisation of interventions and optimisations in the most critical installations.

The elected officials and technicians of the city of Bram quickly noticed the benefits brought by these installations. According to our technical manager: "This solution has allowed us not only to improve the comfort of the users of the Halles Claude Nougaro, but also to significantly reduce energy consumption. The integration with the municipal Trust also facilitates the management of access and roles, which is essential for a building as versatile as the Halles. We are very satisfied with this collaboration”.
