Challenge
The intervention concerned the first phase of a comprehensive energy optimization project, focused on the boiler room and gas distribution system of the site. The objective was to modernize the thermal management of a facility comprising three boiler rooms and four substations, requiring precise coordination of the hydraulic circuits. Therefore, the first phase of the project was structured around:
- The installation of three-way hydraulic valves to ensure precise regulation of flow rates and temperatures.
- The instrumentation of the circuits with surface-mounted probes positioned on the supply and return lines of the primary circuit, as well as on each secondary circuit, to enable tailored regulation.
- The intervention was carried out in several stages, ensuring the continuity of site operations and the safety of existing installations.
The main challenge was to deploy a high-performance control infrastructure across a multi-site boiler room, while simultaneously preparing the groundwork for subsequent phases of energy optimization.

Solution
We implemented a hydraulic regulation and thermal control infrastructure tailored to the site's specific characteristics:
- Installation of 3-way hydraulic valves enabling precise flow modulation and stable regulation of the heating circuits.
- Deployment of surface-mounted sensors on the supply and return lines of the primary circuit, providing reliable measurement of temperature variations and a calculation basis for regulation.
- Equipping each secondary circuit with dedicated sensors to ensure individualized and optimized temperature control by zone.
- Preparation of the technical architecture for future integration of the building management system (BMS) and advanced energy monitoring functionalities.
- Installation of 3-way hydraulic valves enabling precise flow modulation and stable regulation of the heating circuits.
- Deployment of surface-mounted sensors on the supply and return lines of the primary circuit, providing reliable measurement of temperature variations and a calculation basis for regulation.

This first phase of boiler room modernization has enabled the site's thermal management to be structured through optimized hydraulic regulation. The installation of three-way valves and surface-mounted sensors now provides reliable temperature measurement and more precise control of the heating circuits. This technical foundation forms a solid base for future phases of the project and for the continuous improvement of the facility's energy performance.
