Challenge

An old Victorian house built around 1900, needed a complete upgrade with a strong focus on heating efficiency to reduce gas usage and prepare for an air source heat pump.

Solution

Loxone offers comprehensive integration, covering everything from access and alarms to sensors, heating, and media. The flexibility to hardwire during the renovation and use wireless options for untouched areas allowed us to include every room in the system.



The individual room control for heating has been particularly effective. Our heating system now only warms rooms below their target temperature. This, combined with new insulation and a boiler, has reduced our gas consumption by 25%.

We chose Loxone due to the wide variety of wired and wireless options available, as well as its ability to integrate other technologies, such as a reed switch window sensor or faradite motion sensors.
