Single-family house in Sitges

Challenge

Welcome to the presentation of this magnificent home on the Costa Daurada in Sitges, a smart home designed to provide comfort, security, and energy efficiency to its inhabitants. Thanks to the integration of the Loxone system, this home allows for automatic and remote control of systems such as lighting, air conditioning, blinds, audio, security, and more. With this innovative solution, we seek to improve quality of life, optimize resource consumption, and offer a modern, practical, and personalized home experience. Discover how home automation transforms your home into a smarter space, more connected to the future.

Solution

LIGHTING

Lighting control is one of the most important visual aspects of the installation. To begin with, each and every one of the home's lighting options is controlled by the system; some are on/off, although many lights have dimmer controls, including RGB colors. When walking through the hallways, stairwells, and common areas, the lights turn on automatically when you pass by if there is low light in the area, and turn off after a few seconds. The bathrooms in the bedrooms have sensors that provide a dim light when you get up at night to use the bathroom. We can also turn on the lights using Touch Pure Tree keypads, tablets, and smartphones, combining the different lighting settings with scenarios that enhance our sense of well-being while adapting to our activities. Turning off the lights completely when leaving the home or going to sleep makes life easier. In the event of an alarm, the lights flash to scare away intruders. Presence simulation also contributes to the home's security by turning on random lights when it is empty.

The exterior lights adapt to dusk and dawn to turn on automatically.

It's worth noting that all the lighting transformers turn off at the same time as the lights, both to avoid unnecessary energy consumption during standby and to avoid the annoying buzzing noise they emit.

BLINDS

In the home, we find slatted blinds on all facades as well as interior curtains. The blinds have automatic shading to adapt to the hours of greatest sunlight, thus maintaining a cool interior temperature on hot days and a warm one on cold days. Centralizing and grouping the blinds allows us to quickly and easily raise or lower them all at once. In case of rain, the blinds lower to prevent the glass from getting dirty, and when the wind blows strongly, they retract to prevent breakage. The associated schedules allow them to be raised and lowered to adapt to the lifestyle of each resident. They are also part of the security system, as in the event of an alarm, the blinds rise to attract attention and flash the lights, and when the person is present, they move randomly when no one is there.

CLIMATE

Climate control is one of the most important aspects of the home. We have fan coil units in each room. Here, the climate in each room is activated and regulated individually. Each room can have its own set temperature, operating mode (hot or cold), and fan speed. Of course, remote control from outside the home to have it ready upon arrival is one of the first requirements. Loxone keypads provide us with the temperatures in each room, which we record in the statistics.

IRRIGATION

Each of the 10 irrigation zones is incorporated into the system with its own on-time and runtime based on the water required for that zone.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

Controlling energy costs is always a very important factor, especially in homes of this size. Of course, we've also taken on this challenge. The installed solar panels provide us with energy that we can't waste, so when we have excess energy, we can take advantage of it to charge the electric car or activate the home's climate control. The client has access to graphs of actual consumption at all times, as well as statistics to understand their consumption habits. Within this area, we can also mention the management of controlled outlets, such as those for televisions and other audiovisual devices, which turn off when we leave home or go to sleep to avoid unnecessary standby costs.

Water consumption is also part of the management process, so we know how much we're spending at all times, receiving alerts when we exceed certain limits.

ELECTRIC CAR

As soon as we get home, all we have to worry about is connecting the charger to the car; the system is configured to do the rest. The car will charge based on the surplus energy from the solar panels, the hours of cheap energy, or if we're in a hurry, we can set it to "Full Power," charging at maximum power. Consumption and usage statistics are always available.

AUDIO

One of the most interesting features that can be appreciated from the first moment is the magnificent audio system distributed throughout the home. Each area has its own speakers so the music can accompany us at all times while we move around. Listening to our favorite music is very easy and enjoyable, although if there are several people in the house at the time, each person can listen to their favorite band in their area without having to endure their child's reggaeton. We can also wake up to our favorite music using Loxone alarm clocks.

An interesting aspect of the audio system is that it alerts us when someone is knocking at the door, tells us when we have just armed or disarmed the security system, or sounds the alarm siren in case of an intrusion.

SECURITY

Security is another of the home's strongest aspects. Motion sensors help us turn on the lights when the alarm is disarmed and also sound the alarm when it is armed. We also have door opening sensors on all doors and windows. In this house, we can choose the type of alarm we want to arm at any time: pet mode, night mode, and full arm. In the event of an alarm, lights, blinds, and notifications on the audio system are activated, and we receive notifications on our cell phones and phone calls. All of this is reinforced by the presence simulation system.

Smoke sensors are installed in some areas of the home to alert us of any detection. We have also installed water sensors that cut off the power supply in the event of any incident.

The weather station provides us with real-time weather information so we can turn on the lights when it gets dark, take precautions when it rains, and alert us that the wind is blowing strongly today.

ACCESSES

To access the home, we have a video intercom and a keypad. We receive a video call on our mobile phone to communicate with visitors and open the door and lights for them. Alternatively, we can provide access codes for one-time use or for a specific period of time. The maintenance staff has codes valid for the agreed days and times.

When we arrive by car, we can open the vehicle gate with the app, and the parking access lights turn on automatically.

POOL

Here, you don't have to worry about cleaning; the system automatically activates it according to the established schedule. The lights turn on at night, creating an incredible ambiance.

Ah! We can customize the app for the client in English :)

It has been a pleasure for Proindo to be able to participate in the construction of this wonderful home.

"I'm delighted with the final result of the project. I never imagined I would adapt so quickly and easily to a house like this. This will definitely make me value homes differently from now on." Jordi (owner)
