Office in pedestrian zone

As part of the relocation and modernization of the office in the pedestrian zone, the focus was on optimizing continuous operational comfort and energy efficiency. The office was also intended to serve as a mini showroom for customers. This resulted in several specific requirements:



The heating system should only be actively controlled during office hours to avoid unnecessary energy consumption outside of these times.



The shop window and exterior lighting should be automatically activated in the evenings – depending on dusk and fixed time windows – without manual intervention.



Intelligent occupancy control was required: Lighting and climate control should only be active when individual office areas are actually in use.

Heating according to office hours:



The heating system has been consistently tailored to actual office hours. During working hours, the system automatically ensures comfortable temperatures; outside of these hours, operation is reduced for energy efficiency.



This function can be demonstrated directly to customers in the visualization and explained using real-world time profiles.



Lighting & shop window control:



The shop window and exterior lighting are controlled based on time and twilight. This ensures the office is optimally presented even in the evening hours – a clearly visible added value for customers, especially for use in retail and showrooms.



Presence-based room automation:



Lighting and climate control functions react to the actual use of individual areas. Customers experience firsthand how rooms automatically adjust as soon as they are entered or exited – a key component of the live demonstration in everyday office life.



Showroom-like functionality during operation:



All automation functions were deliberately implemented to operate without additional demo installations. Customers see real-world scenarios, genuine consumption optimization, and practical applications – from the workplace to the shop window.
