Biogas plant

In the biogas plant, different parts of the plant work via different PLC systems, which offer no or only rudimentary visualizations. The customer wants an interface in which he can monitor and, if necessary, control the following systems:



• Gas analyzer

• Fermenter feed

• Generator/motor operating parameters



Furthermore, the amount of manure fed in should be logged.

In order to bring the different systems together, the values of the systems were read out via RS232, Modbus or Modbus TCP and control parameters were transferred back via the Loxone interface. The visualization in the app now allows the operator to call up all important operating parameters in one place. He also receives information via push notification when various limit values are exceeded or not reached. For example, a process control in Loxone controls the feeding of the fermenter with corn silage using a scale as long as there is still enough material in the storage container.
