Increase in System Requirements From Spring 2026 Onwards

LOXONE stands for a high level of security. This requires modern systems that meet today's security standards and are regularly updated. That is precisely why we are raising the system requirements for the LOXONE App and LOXONE Config from spring 2026.
With this decision, we are laying the foundation for avoiding security gaps, reducing vulnerabilities and creating space for new features. We will only support versions of operating systems that are regularly updated.
Starting in spring 2026, the following minimum requirements will apply to LOXONE Config and the App. Devices that do not meet these requirements will no longer receive updates.
For the LOXONE App:
- Android: Version 12 or higher
- iOS: Version 18 or higher
- MacOS: Version 18 or higher
- Windows: Windows 10 64-bit or higher, e.g., Windows 11
- Debian-based systems, e.g., Ubuntu, Fedora
For the LOXONE Config:
- Windows: Version 10 (64-bit) or higher
- Graphics processor (GPU): Support for OpenGL 4.5 or DirectX 11
What Does That Mean for You?
- App updates: Starting in spring 2026, devices that do not meet these requirements will no longer receive updates. This applies to all operating systems that no longer receive security updates.
- Config: LOXONE Config will support at least 64-bit from this point on. Problems may arise on older 64-bit systems, such as Windows 7, or the system may no longer function properly.
