A modern apartment complex is emerging in a picturesque area in the Czech Republic. Being sustainability the main focus of the project, the Loxone technology enables travellers to enjoy an environmentally friendly holiday.
What was implemented?
General
The former leisure centre near the Vidlák pond in the Czech Republic is being replaced by a total of 21 buildings with the latest Loxone technology. The goal of the developer is to build the flats according to the latest trends and requirements for modern living. Therefore, the Loxone Partner Evora Smart focuses primarily on the sustainability and technology management of the buildings, which are a model for low-energy holiday homes.
Among other functions, intelligent heating and cooling control, air conditioning, lighting, motorised windows and a full security system were implemented with Loxone, as well as smart energy management with PV.

Weather Station
The ideal temperature and air quality were the main priorities for the project. Loxone is used in combination with the PKOM4 Classic heat recovery system, which is responsible for ventilation, heating, cooling and hot water in the houses. In this way, temperature and air supply are controlled so that maximum efficiency can be achieved with minimal maintenance.
All these functions run automatically via the Loxone Miniserver. The Weather Station also collects the weather data of the location and forwards it to the Miniserver of the individual holiday homes, so if it starts to rain, the windows are automatically closed to avoid water entering the interior. The pergola is also taken down in time to prevent damage, depending on the weather forecast.
Security
Smoke Detector, Room Comfort Sensor, Temperature Probe 1-Wire, Water Sensor Air, Door & Window Contact, Presence Sensor
The smoke detectors, as well as the room comfort sensors and the Temperature Probe 1-Wire sensors (which control the heating), contribute to safety in the holiday homes. The water sensors warn the residents in good time of leaking water, which means that damage can be prevented at an early stage.
Potential burglars can be stopped by the alarm siren that comes into effect through the door & window contacts or presence detectors. In the event of a break-in, the lights in the common areas also flash to alert the entire building.
Loxone also controls the dimmable LED strips in the pergola to create a pleasant lighting atmosphere for evening gatherings. The stair lighting is automatically triggered by motion sensors so that the stairs are only illuminated when they are in use.
The zonal control of the air conditioning depending on the CO2 levels is also regulated by Loxone in the holiday homes. Depending on the CO2 concentration, the supply air flaps are opened and closed. In addition, the buildings are equipped with a photovoltaic system so that energy management with Loxone can be made as intelligent and efficient as possible. The energy is subsequently also passed on to the communal areas, ensuring maximum savings. With a single control system, the site thus gets a range of options and functions, including monitoring of the wastewater treatment plant, pumps, etc.
More exciting features in the holiday homes:
Tablet with the Loxone App – Through the tablet attached to a wall mount, residents have numerous control functions and a perfect overview of their holiday home, including consumption statistics. In addition, holidaymakers have the option of downloading the same app on their mobile phone and can thus access the flat at any time and from any location.
NFC Code Touch – Residents can freely and easily change the access codes and thus have access to the property and the holiday home at any time thanks to the NFC Code Touch.
Intercom – The intercom system from Loxone in combination with the NFC Code Touch is installed at the access gate to the premises. The residents can thus communicate with their visitors in front of the gate via the aforementioned tablet or the mobile app.
Milesight security cameras – Fully integrated into Loxone, the cameras are another security enhancement. Owners can see what is going on in their home at all times and react immediately if there is a security risk.
