With version 16.1, we are continuing our journey to improve the user experience with Loxone Config. You can also expect intelligent innovations in energy management that enable you to act proactively. In addition, there are new function blocks for custom notifications. Finally, we look back at the recently released performance upgrade, including a new Audio Player for the Loxone App.

Mail Generator & Call Generator: Automated, Customized Notifications
Similar to the Text Generator, the new Mail Generator and Call Generator modules can be used to create messages with variables. Emails or calls can contain information about users, sensor data, energy consumption and much more. This simplifies documentation and improves the user experience.
One example of use is charging at a wallbox: at the end of the charging process, the user automatically receives an email with the most important information about the charging process.
PV Production Forecast: Balancing Generation and Consumption
The new PV production forecast module uses data from the Weather Service to predict how much energy a PV system is likely to produce. This enables even smarter energy management, for example by keeping reserves in storage when low production is forecast.
Further Innovations in Energy Management
Flexible adjustments for the Spot Price Optimizer:
This allows for quick responses to changes in the market, such as a change in intervals.
Energy Meter: Transmission cycle of 0.1 seconds:
The transmission cycle of all Loxone meters can now be set to 0.1 seconds for special applications. This is particularly useful in scenarios where high reaction speed is crucial, such as load management for DC charging stations.
TOR compliance of the Loxone Wallbox in accordance with OVE R37:
Due to legal requirements, wallboxes in Austria must be able to respond to frequency and voltage changes. Loxone Wallboxes (22kW & 11kW) in combination with a 3-Phase Energy Meter from Loxone – whether connected directly or via a current transformer – now comply with this directive.

New Energy Meter for Current Transformers
No way to change the wiring? No space in the distribution board for a direct meter? Need to measure large currents or cables with big cross-sections? Our new current transformer energy meters are the solution – easy to install and quick to commission. Seamless integration is ensured via Loxone Tree.
They come in two versions, perfectly matched with clamp-on current transformer sets. This allows precise measurement of currents up to 400A and conductors with a diameter of up to 35mm.

Improved User Experience in Loxone Config
With version 16, we have introduced comprehensive improvements to the user interface. We are continuing to develop these so that you can implement your projects even faster and more easily.
Clearer Property
Window
Parameters, general information, permissions and much more – the properties window combines many practical features. We have redesigned it so that you can find the right properties even faster:
- A filter makes it easy to search for properties
- We have highlighted the parameters that are most frequently needed. All others can be easily displayed under “Advanced Parameters”
- Design improvements further simplify operation in the properties window
More Contrast, Improved Visibility
We received a lot of feedback on version 16. Based on this, today’s update improves the visibility of objects such as connecting lines and building blocks through stronger contrasts.
Revised Radio Button Module
Editing the outputs of the radio button module has been simplified and is now even more intuitive.
Further Usability Improvements
- Easy activation of full-screen mode with F10
- Better visibility of selected objects and their connections through highlighting
- Clear separation of documentation in the visualization and in Loxone Config

Thanks to our latest update, Loxone Exosphere is now significantly more efficient, especially for large projects – fewer clicks, more automation, and more flexible workflows:
- Automatic backups & updates – now manageable at the workspace level
- Duplicate dashboards & diagrams faster and replace data points with just a few clicks
- Provisioning codes for specific elements to quickly and easily add new Miniservers
Have You Seen It Yet? New Audio Player & Performance Boost for the Loxone App
The new Audio Player boasts a modern, intuitive design. But that’s not all: no loading times or shorter loading times mean you can enjoy the outstanding sound of the Loxone audio world even more.
The improvements are not limited to the Audio Player: navigation in the Loxone App is now up to 30% faster. This is particularly noticeable on pages with a lot of content, such as the category overview, central control, or energy flow monitor.
