Challenge
In 2019, the historic storage facility in Bad Reichenhall became a modern event centre including Loxone technology. Its simplicity was the decisive reason why Loxone was used in this project. Temperature and air quality are particularly important in event locations. The topic of light is also crucial in the catering industry. For those responsible, it was especially important to create a smart project with simplicity, where you can change a lot with just a few clicks and adapt the building to the current situation.
Solution
The integrated temperature sensors in the Loxone Touches combined with the actuators ensure the perfect temperature in both event halls. Automation of the lighting control makes the daily work routine easier for the staff and creates a special atmosphere for the guests. Should a fire occur in the Alte Saline, the safety of the guests is automatically taken care of: the shading moves up, the lights are activated at the highest level and the fire brigade is notified via phone call.
It was important to us to create a smart project with simplicity. Where you can change a lot with just a few clicks and adapt the building to the current situation. This simplicity must start with low-cost cabling and installation and extend to system openness for various external systems throughout the building. This is the only way to create an intelligent interaction that saves energy and costs. To make such a large system operable, you need uniformity in all sections and various scenes or modes. Whether the caretaker or the lighting technician for events, everyone must be able to master the system immediately.
