Increase in system requirements from spring 2026 onwards
Loxone stands for a high level of security. This requires modern systems that meet current security standards and are regularly updated. That’s precisely why we are raising the system requirements for the Loxone App and Loxone Config starting in spring 2026.
With this decision, we are laying the foundation for avoiding security gaps, reducing vulnerabilities and, at the same time, creating space for new functions. We will only support versions of operating systems that are regularly updated.
From spring 2026, the following minimum requirements will apply to Loxone Config and the App. Devices that do not meet these requirements will no longer receive updates:
For the Loxone App:
- Android: Version 12 or higher
- iOS: Version 18 or higher
- MacOS: Version 18 or higher
- Windows: Windows 10 64-bit or higher, e.g. Windows 11
- Debian-based systems, e.g. Ubuntu, Fedora
For the Loxone App:
- Windows: Version 10 (64-bit) or higher
- Graphics processing unit (GPU): Support for OpenGL 4.5 or DirectX 11
What does this mean for you?
- App Updates: From spring 2026 onwards, devices that do not meet these requirements will no longer receive updates. This applies to all operating systems that no longer receive security updates.
- Config: From this point onwards, Loxone Config will support at least 64-bit. Problems may arise on older 64-bit systems, e.g. Windows 7, or the system may no longer function properly.
What can you rely on?
We are announcing these changes in advance so that you have enough time to update your devices and systems. Our goal is to continue ensuring that you can benefit from the latest features and the highest level of security.
