Conversion of former US barracks

The initial situation was challenging: A disused American barracks was to be converted into a high-quality, modern hotel with 121 rooms. The primary goal was to implement the new usage concept at the highest technical and functional standards – integrating modern comfort and control systems into an existing structure while simultaneously ensuring sustainable energy consumption.

In close collaboration with the hotel operators, a holistic concept was developed based on sophisticated building automation. From the welcoming lighting in the rooms, which gives guests an atmospheric arrival, to intelligent room temperature control, access control, an integrated barrier system for the parking area, and a customized sound system, every aspect was precisely planned and implemented.



A special highlight is the LOXONE audio system, which provides pleasant background music through targeted sound distribution, enabling private conversations at the table even in public areas.



The cleaning light, which is individually controlled for each room, ensures that cleaning staff know which rooms may be entered and cleaned.



In addition, the control of the heating and cooling technology ensures effective energy management. This system adapts to local conditions, reduces consumption peaks, and thus enables significant long-term cost savings while contributing to sustainability.
