Challenge

The initial brief for the project was to preserve the authenticity and grandeur of the Georgian county Manor House while discreetly integrating the advanced capabilities of a Loxone smart home system. The vision was to introduce cutting-edge home automation in a way that was almost invisible, ensuring that the Manor’s historical charm and architectural integrity was never compromised.



From the outset, the goal was to seamlessly hide the technology behind the period features, so the automation would enhance the guests’ experience without detracting from the traditional aesthetic. The challenge was to bring all the modern conveniences that a luxury holiday let demands - intelligent climate control, security, lighting, and audio systems — while maintaining the classic look and feel of the home.

Solution

Loxone's powerful automation system offered the ideal solution. Its flexible, modular nature allowed us to hide the sophisticated building management technology behind walls, ceilings, and within cabinetry, with only discreet sensors and switches visible to the untrained eye. Instead of overwhelming the space with modern technology, we embedded these features in a way that felt natural and harmonious with the Georgian design. For instance, traditional light switches were replaced with subtle Loxone Touch Pure units, designed to look elegant while providing seamless control.



The vision extended beyond mere functionality — our approach was to elevate the guest experience. The integration of intelligent automation meant that lighting, temperature, and entertainment could respond to the needs of the guests without them even having to think about it.
