Studio in a large slab

The aim of the project was to increase the security of the apartment in the event of fire or flooding, as well as burglary. In addition, the client wanted to enrich the apartments with colorful lighting, a multi-room audio system (3 zones), air conditioning control and energy metering.

In this case, the hybrid nature of Loxone turned out to be a great help. In the room, which was freshly renovated, wireless products were used. The rest of the house was designed with cable. In addition to colorful lighting and audio, we have equipped the apartment with several other functionalities tailored to the client's needs and the type of investment.



- First of all, we took care of the safety of the apartment from the point of view of flooding. Breaking washing machine hoses or a leaking siphon are common problems that we can easily protect ourselves against. However, it's not about sending the client a message with the title "Your apartment is flooded, go home" - then it is usually too late. Flood sensors integrated with water shut-off valves react immediately, only later can the customer return home and orientate himself.

- In a large slab, gravitational ventilation is used, which is ineffective on the top floor. The consequence is the frequent evaporation of the mirror in the bathroom. The solution to this problem was to control the mirror heating mat depending on the current humidity in the room.

- Another interesting solution is to control the air conditioning. The client opted for one of the cheaper units on the market, which has no interface other than an infrared remote control. We also handled this very well by using an IR emitter.

- Finally, we integrated the energy meter so that in the case of renting, the client could efficiently operate on the monthly energy consumption without having to come to the apartment or ask for photos of the meter.
