Challenge
The owners of this solid wood house (built in 2021) were looking for a smart home system that doesn’t use the cloud. In addition, all smart functions in the home should be carried out by a single central control unit.
Solution
In this solid wood house, a particular focus was on the intelligent control of lighting, shading, heating, multimedia and access control.
The intelligent lighting was integrated into the Loxone system and, thanks to the Presence Sensor, is activated exactly where someone is. Additional lighting moods can be added at any time via Loxone App to create the perfect atmosphere for every occasion. With just one click on the Touch switch, the entire lighting mood in the room can be changed.
In addition to sun protection, smart blinds also ensure privacy and maximum energy efficiency. Since the current position of the sun is recorded at all times and the shading is automatically adjusted accordingly, residents no longer have to worry about lowering the shades in the summer. The shading can of course also be controlled manually via the Loxone App or the Touch switch. In addition to controlling the shading and lighting, this control element also operates the multiroom audio system. This means that every room can be filled with the same or different music.
The Automatic Designer in the Loxone App is one of the residents' favorite functions. A dedicated rule is used to check whether all windows and doors in the house are closed. If this is not the case, this will be communicated via text-to-speech over the loudspeakers in the house. Another highlight is the integration of the skylight into the Loxone system. In summer it opens automatically at night, creating a natural stack effect.
Thanks to remote access via the Loxone App, it’s also easy to monitor the house while the owners are on vacation. In addition, Presence Simulation can be activated with just one click to give the impression that someone is at home.

A Smart Home is simply state-of-the-art. We were looking for a smart home system without a cloud connection.
