Society House Tower - Cinema

A dedicated 12-seat private cinema in a Downtown Dubai residence tower needed a true reference-grade experience — an Ascendo 7.2.4 system with a 180″ acoustically-transparent screen — while staying effortless for the tenants to use. The lighting had to do more than switch on/off: stepped-ceiling cove lighting, wall coves and ceiling spots all had to move together as cinematic scenes, and the room's AV and power needed to be controlled from one simple interface. The goal was to integrate architectural lighting, ambience and equipment control into a single, reliable, one-touch system fit for a high-end acoustic room.

A LOXONE Miniserver Compact runs the whole room over the LOXONE Tree bus. RGBW Dimmer Trees drive 24 RGBW ceiling spots and RGBW LED strip integrated into the stepped acoustic ceiling and cove, for fully tunable colour and dimming. One-touch scenes — Movie, Pause/Intermission, Clean and Off — are recalled from a wall-mounted iPad and a Touch Pure Flex, with presence sensors adding automatic behaviour. LOXONE also sequences the cinema's power: coupling relays switch the amplifier and subwoofer mains with the room, and an IR Control Air drives the projector and AV processor. The result is a calibrated, high-performance cinema whose lighting, ambience and equipment are all orchestrated by LOXONE from one intuitive interface.
