Smart Tiny House

The goal was to create a tiny house that was as self-sufficient as possible with very high requirements in terms of automation, comfort and security.

Control of a cistern that is filled with rainwater, shading with electrochromic glass, control of the electric sliding doors, monitoring and control of pumps, valves, gas lines, comprehensive statistics, audio including announcements of various processes in the house, climate control including automated ventilation.

The smart Tiny House welcomes residents with a voice and allows access via NFC, code or smartphone. Lighting and indoor climate are controlled via Loxone: dimmable DALI spotlights in the living area and motion detectors in the basement provide the right light. Three indoor climate sensors monitor temperature, humidity and CO₂, while the heating is adjusted automatically.



Audio zones on each floor enable convenient music control, and security-related systems such as smoke and water detectors and cameras are integrated. The Tiny House uses rainwater and a photovoltaic system, which are integrated into the energy management system. Energy consumption and waste quantities are monitored and displayed.



Operating modes such as “Away” and “Present” optimize energy consumption and comfort.
