Challenge

Our customer had a heat pump with an additional electric heating element installed. Unfortunately, the heat pump did not have an app as standard, but only a touch control panel in the basement on the system.

Solution

Thanks to Loxone, we were able to read both the electric heating element and the heat pump via Modbus TCP, visualize them according to customer requirements and enable convenient control from anywhere via app. The heating element is only activated when there is enough PV surplus.

I chose Loxone because of the numerous open interfaces and options as well as the simple and clear operating options.
