Energy and cold room control for frozen food company

Challenge

This food processing and manufacturing business needed to monitor six 200-cubic-meter cold storage rooms where food was stored before and after processing. The initial request was simply to monitor the temperature of the cold storage rooms.

Solution

By installing a miniserver, we initially read the temperatures in the cells and programmed alarm thresholds. With the enthusiastic client, we then monitored the switches and alarms in the cell panels, and tracked the operating hours of the compressor motors that provide cooling. The second step led us to manage the office structure with shading, access control, video intercom, WhallBox, and climate control. We then integrated the reading and management of the energy produced by the photovoltaic system installed on the roof.
