Challenge
The client needed to monitor a 600 kW biomass plant, fueled by wood chip waste produced in-house from their own timber processing. Because of the fuel type, the plant required constant adjustments, and the resulting downtime cut directly into energy sales revenue. Round-the-clock monitoring was essential.
Solution
With Loxone, we were able to monitor the key functions of the six 100 kW generators and enable remote correction of critical parameters, such as oxygenation and engine cooling, preventing the machines from shutting down. If a stoppage does occur, the operator is still alerted immediately through Loxone, allowing for a quick response.
